earl grey &beauty days : First hautelook haul; Diptyque!

Inaugurating my very first beauty blogspot post by sharing my first hautelook purchase with you :) Presenting, my very first Diptyque products :)

I remember being very ecstatic when I found out that morning early in the day right before I was about to leave for school: Diptyque was being featured on the discount site (also for the "very first time). So luckily, this prompted me to bring my credit card and laptop to school. I felt a little immature feeling SO giddy! the rest of that day and excited! and had butterflies because it's Diptyque! I never thought I would own a product from them until, well, I had some luxury to spare. Three hours later when I finally had an appropriately long break in between classes, I was lucky to have a scheduled practice room for 2 hours (hello, I'm a bachelor of music student nice to meet you).

After 1.5 hours spent trying to decide which EDT (eau de toilette) to buy based solely on Fragrantica's reviews and Diptyque's website...It was also (yes another first!) being on Fragrantica's site, and opening an account (If you are also enamoured by the olfactory, here is my profile). Originally I wanted a candle but of course those became all sold out in less than 2 hours! So I moved on to contemplating getting one EDT, that turned into two...then I decided to splurge just a little more for the L'ombre dans L'eau {Shadow in the Water} shower and lotion kit. Everything was half priced, and after the $11 shipping & 20% additional surcharge (for living in Canada), it was still worth purchasing over Hautelook! Of course, this being my first purchase from them, I was a little hesitant with the shipping/packaging results but...here we are!
